Afghanistan suffers from four decades of war, caused a massive migration the rural population to cities. Kabul was originally designed for 1,5 million people, where now 5 people live. The importation modern western styles housing rapid reconstruction reveals apparent cultural conflict and significant environmental footprint. new constructive cultures sustainable should necessary consider use local materials combined with technologies. Earthen architecture underlies embodiment architecture. aim this research is revisit traditional afghan earthen construction tools industrial modernity. Three soils region were first characterized. Then, sun-dried mud brick compressive earth block, without stabilization have been prepared tested in laboratory develop most suitable element which cost effective easily available compared imported products.
